Mabuhay from the Philippines!

Mabuhay! We said our goodbyes and boarded our plane, ready for the 14 and 1.2 hour ride. Thankfully, we were able to sleep around 8 hours of the trip, which made it less painful.

The humid air hit us as we exited the plane, but boy were we happy when we were greeted with "Morning Ma'am, Morning Sir". We were happy to be back in this beautiful country that we have grown to love.

The drive to the headquarters church, and our new temporary home, is approximately 26 miles, but because the traffic is so thick here it took us 1 and 1/2 hours.

We were nice and hungry when we walked through the door, and were very thankful that the house angels had prepared us a delicious breakfast and calamansi drink, my favorite !

We took the rest of the day to unpack and get some rest.  These precious ladies cooked us lunch and dinner so we could get acclimated to our new time zone and get some much needed rest.

Sis. Anne, Sis. Zeny and Sis. Che. God bless them for taking such good care of us! They are jewels!

Every Monday through Friday the church here in Bagong Silang/Caloocan City has prayer and devotion at 9:00 a.m.  What a great way for the church to come together before their day begins to put their minds on the things of God and to give Him their attention before starting the daily routine of life.

On Thursday we were in service here in Caloocan City, which is the headquarters church and is also right below the apartment where we are living.

It is a custom here that when guests from another country come they sing "You are Welcome Here" while everyone in the church walks by shakes your hand, gives you a card, gift, flowers or a flower lei.  These people are precious and you can't help but love them and their sweet spirits. We cherish all of the cards that we have been given over the past few years and enjoy re-reading them.

You can clearly see by our faces that we are so grateful to be here. Our first few days will be spent fully unpacking and hopefully being able to adjust quickly to this new time zone.  We are grateful that the house angels will be cooking for us the first few days. When they leave, we will miss them for many reasons. :-)

We have our first service at the Calamba Church on Sunday and we are very excited as it will be our first time there.  We are anxious to meet the people and see some familiar faces.

Please pray for God to bless our services and help us fulfill His will for us here!
