Sunday was a very exciting day. We were going to have the first baptism since we've arrived.
After the lesson was taught and right before they gave out snack I handed everyone some candy. I absolutely love to hear the children say, "Thank you, Po". They are taught from a very young age, and even in school to add "po" to the end of their sentences; which is a sign of respect. It's like saying, "Thank you, Ma'am" or "Thank you, Sir".
They had orange juice and egg sandwiches for snack.
The young men sang, "My God is Awesome"
Six of our young people will be attending bible school in Bagong Silang. We will miss them very much on the weekends they will not be in service at Kay-Anlog and Calamba.
Once the altar call was finished we visited while the baptismal tank was being prepared. Nate had asked them to have it filled before service, but as they prepared it the water pump stopped working. They had to fill buckets from the bathroom sink and take them up several flights to the 4th floor to the baptismal tank.
Check out that ladder! 😁
Everyone was so excited as another soul has been added to the Kingdom. Thank you Jesus!
Our prayer is that this baptism is one of many. God is doing great things in Calamba and Kay-Anlog. This is only the beginning!
So awesome!
