Luzon Youth Camp 2019

Luzon Youth Camp was an eventful week. We had visitors come from California, Kansas, and Colorado. The Filipino young people love to have visitors, and it is always an exciting time of fellowship.
This year's youth camp was located at the CCT grounds in Tagaytay. It was a few hours from Bagong Silang and we had to arrive before service started at 3:00 p.m. We had a van full of ministers, 1 bus full of Americans, and 1 bus full of Filipinos. Everyone was all smiles and happy to have a week of fun with all of the Luzon youth groups.

We had some good laughs with Sis. White and Matt & Chantelle on the way. The buses stopped at McDonalds for lunch then proceeded to the camp grounds.

I guess they change the venue each year, depending on where they are able to get a reservation. The CCT grounds was beautiful. We were greeted with these beautiful yellow flowers at the entrance.
Everyone was in a hurry to freshen up and be ready for the 3:00 service.

These photos are completely random because I took too many to share, but I will give you the just of what took place during the week.

The first afternoon we met in the sanctuary and went over the rules, schedule, then we had a powerful first service. Every service was encouraging, and I know it highly impacted every one of these young people.

We started each morning with prayer. It was vitally important to start our day off right!

One afternoon after service we had a fun photo shoot. The landscape and views in Tagaytay are gorgeous and we couldn't resist to snap some photos.

We took a funny one with our youth from Calamba๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ˜€ Trying to get everyone to jump at the same time was fun. haha

We love these students so much. Having spent almost every day with them these past few months has made us grow to love them. They are such a great group!

These boys are too much fun! ๐Ÿ˜‚

One evening the young people had a bonfire. We enjoyed sitting with the adults and watching them play games, do skits and have a great time together.

One thing that is always a highlight at every conference, camp, or get together is a candy rain. These Filipinos go crazy over American candy!!! We love to watch them scatter like little ants in every direction.

We had a great time with our friends. Lots of laughs and a whole lot of memories were made.

The last day of camp was on a Thursday. We had one last service before everyone left.
That last service, Nate preached, "I am a Pawn of God." The Level 2 students were excited when he pulled out the large pawn that they had made for him. They didn't know what is was for when they made it.
Right before altar call he had everyone come up and pick out a pawn keychain. It is a great reminder to 'keep moving forward'! A perfect ending to an amazing week!
