For this second semester I am teaching the girls how to bake. They were very excited to learn some recipes, and especially things like cookies, cakes, breads and things that us Americans create differently than they do.
We started our first class by making cake pops. Several of the girls had never seen them before, so it was fun to watch them prepare them.
They rolled them, dipped them and added the toppings.
I purchased crushed Oreos, colored sprinkles, chocolate, and white chocolate to make them all different. The girls had so much fun! Since it is quite hot here we had to put them in the fridge to harden and then we all enjoyed them that evening after dinner.
For our second class I showed them how to make funnel cakes. I think they enjoyed eating the toppings more than the process of making them! 😀
The funnel cakes were yummy! We had nutella, powered sugar, strawberries and whipped cream. The girls were so excited. They had never had these and asked for the recipe to make them for their families.
I am looking forward to showing them many more recipes!
