My PI B-day

A WONDERFUL BIRTHDAY !!!

My birthday was on a Saturday, which meant that we traveled to be in service at Kay-Anlog.
We started off with teaching the children some Sunday school songs. We always have a large group of children who come and they love to sing and worship.

"Father Abraham had many sons...."

They all sang Happy Birthday to me and wanted to take photos. 😀

After service we came back to the parsonage to unpack and get ready for Sunday service. Some of our young people surprised me with cupcakes and sang to me, they are so sweet!

On Sunday after service they announced that they would be having choir practice. When everyone got up front they each had letters that spelled out "Happy Birthday Sis Weidner". They sang, gave me cards, gifts, and lots of hugs.

I love these people!! 💚

Afterwards, they invited us to a birthday celebration in the fellowship hall. They had made everyone pancit (noodles with chicken and veggies.) It is a typical birthday meal here. They had a gorgeous cake and Four Seasons Juice, which is one of my favorites!

Another birthday song! I love all of their smiles. They are the sweetest. 😀

When we came back to Bagong Silang, the students had the library set up for another celebration. They had the lights turned off and all hid. When Nate turned the lights on they jumped out and surprised me. 😁

I received more cards, hugs and little gifts. These Filipinos sure know how to celebrate, and make you feel so special on your birthday.

My heart is full and I feel blessed and honored to be around such an amazing group of people. This birthday has been great! 💜
