Happy B-day Sis Sally !

On Tuesday the young people told my husband that they all pitched in together to get Sis. Sally a cake for her birthday.
Sis. Sally is the "dorm mother". She stays in the girls dorm with them for the entire school year. She is a sweet lady and is definitely a very important part of the school.

The young people secretly met in the library and created a poster board filled with sticky notes that they each had signed. Jay-Ar was in charge of blowing up the number balloons. 😀

While the ladies finished the board and final details, the boys showed Nate this tool that you squeeze and supposedly it helps strengthen your arm muscles. They each tried it to see how many they could do.

Sis. Sally was surprised and even cried as the young people hugged her and some said a few words about her. It was very sweet.

Then it got crazy! They passed out cupcakes to everyone and the next thing I knew there was blue icing on everyone and everywhere. Apparently it is a tradition here that at every birthday they smear cake in each others faces. I wasn't going to participate but Nate decided to get into the fun and wiped icing with his finger across my face, and of course I had to retaliate.

 What a fun night!
Happy Birthday dear Sis. Sally!
