We left Bagong Silang on Saturday afternoon for the drive to Kay-Anlog. It took us over 4 hours to drive 50 miles. The traffic in LA doesn't compare to this place. It truly is unreal.
We arrived a little late to service but was able to enjoy part of the lesson from one of our young ministers, Bro. James.
These boys live in the neighborhood and always poke their heads in the door while we are having service. They usually have Sunday school before service but I guess they come back because they enjoy watching the Americans, as do most of the people here.
{You never know what you might see in the Philippines. I love the dog!}
After service we drove to Calamba and had youth fellowship. The young people love to have fun, as they should. We have quite a few visiting girls who have been coming faithfully and we were happy to see them participate in this evening as well.
While they played their games, Nate and I walked to 7-11 and purchased some Coke and vanilla ice cream and made them all coke floats. They enjoyed that.
Sunday was Father's Day and we had great church!
{those smiles!}
{Our beautiful visitors}
Nate had each of the fathers come to the front and he gave honor to them all.
Nate preached about the gift of the Holy Ghost. As an illustration he gave out bags of cookies to illustrate how simple it is to receive a gift, and the people sure enjoyed it.
It is just a matter of time before one of these visitors receives the Holy Ghost. We have such a high expectation for the move of God every single service here. I am so thankful for what He is doing in the Philippines!
