A Trip to the Mall

After our very exciting evangelism service on Sunday, Nate and I, and Bro. Ariel, took most of the Acts students (24 total) to the mall.
We first rode in tricycles (6 people a trike) and then we piled all together into a jeepney for the last few miles. It was fun. 😀

Everyone shopped for 2 hours, then we met at Mang Inasal. The young people have been talking about it so much and were very excited to take us. It was very good!

Mang Inasal is known for their unlimited rice. The boys were having a competition who could eat the most rice and hot peppers. I noticed Nate was participating and was red faced at the end of the table. They were crazy!
Jay-Ar won with 8 servings of rice! They laughed because I barely finished the one serving I originally had on my plate. The Filipinos love their rice!!!
After dinner we went to the Skyview, which is attached to the mall. It was very beautiful.
One of the students, Sis. Paula, was celebrating her 18th birthday that day.

We all chipped in and purchased some flowers and a cake for her. Several of the youth took her to a store while the rest of us hurried and walked down to the grass and had her cake set up so we could surprise her.

The ladies gave out flowers with little cards attached to them. It was sweet and she was very surprised.

We all sat around and played games and everyone gave a birthday greeting to Paula. These young people are so precious. They love to make birthdays so special.

After we played games for a bit and talked, and sang, we piled into a jeepney that took us all the way back to the church. It was such a fun evening that we will never forget.

We are having the greatest time making memories with these awesome students!
