Evangelism Service and a Church Potluck

The students were up early Sunday morning to tag in with their contacts they had made yesterday, and to make sure they were ready for the service.
Each team would be receiving a prize for bringing visitors, so everyone was excited!

The church started filling up and the service started at 8:00.

The Bible Students sang "Our God is Awesome". They had been practicing it for a few weeks and were excited to get a chance to sit it during this service.
We love to hear these students sing. It is so powerful, beautiful, and moving.

Nate preached "God Wants You". It was the perfect message for the visitors and saints.

The altar call was filled with visitors! God moved, and many of the them were touched. We are praying that they will return this next Sunday and will be filled with the Holy Ghost!

After the service ended, they started setting tables for the church potluck.
One of the biggest delicacies in the Philippines is Lechon. One of the men in the church purchased this one for everyone to share.
Nate and I have seen this before and it makes me sad every time. I like to eat pork, I just don't appreciate seeing it laid out like this. Poor little piggy.

We met Julie in 2016 on our first trip to the Philippines. She is a Sunday School girl. 💜

While the people were eating, Nate gave out pesos to each of the groups that brought visitors. The group who brought the most received the most pesos. The people were very excited to see who had won and exactly how many visitors came.

Bro. Timothy's group brought the most visitors, 23!

We had 89 visitors total.
20 were regular visitors and 69 were first time visitors. It was very, very exciting!!
The Bible School students and us were happy with the outcome of our first evangelism. We are looking forward to our second one in August.
