This week Nate and I took a tricycle ride to visit Elder and Sis. Bugay again. The tricycles are everywhere here. Many, many people own them and make their living by using them as taxis. One of the men in the church has one and was so gracious to drive us the few miles to the Bugay's home.
Bro. Ariel went with us as well. He likes to make sure we are safe, and we appreciate that very much!
We had another beautiful service in Calamba on Sunday. We had over 26 children in Sunday school. It seems like the numbers are growing with each week, which is very exciting.
Nate and I were very excited to meet Jordan Bugay. He is the son of Elder and Sis. Bugay and he is mentioned in Elder McDaniel's book, which we have both read and loved. We were so excited to meet him and to have him in service with us.
We have a very special retirement service planned for the Bugays. They have done such an amazing work for God for many, many years. They were telling us about how they started the headquarters church in their home and eventually had to fine a larger place because when people would worship they were hitting each other's arms. What a great problem to have!
Please continue to pray for the Bugays, Calamba, and for us as we teach the precious students of Acts Bible School this week. God is working in the Philippines!!!
